Chongqing Hosts FMOS Lean Expert Training

The Federal-Mogul Motorparts Braking facility in Chongqing, China, hosted the final two weeks of the four-week intensive 2018 Lean Expert Development Program. Delegates covered subjects ranging from Built-in-Quality, Error Proofing, Pull Systems, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), as well as others that are part of the Federal-Mogul Operating System (FMOS).

The training involved a combination of classroom training, simulations and shop-floor activities, intended to teach the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to successfully deploy FMOS.

Federal-Mogul Motorparts Receives ACPN Content Excellence Award for MOOG® Hub Assemblies Catalog

Federal-Mogul Motorparts received the Automotive Content Professionals Network (ACPN) Content Excellence Award during the 2018 Knowledge Exchange Conference in Fort Worth, Texas, in mid-April. The company’s content team was recognized for achieving the highest score in the ACES (Aftermarket Catalog Enhanced Standard) and PIES (Product Information Exchange Standard) digital assets category for the latest MOOG® Hub Assemblies catalog.

ACPN is a community of the Auto Care Association dedicated to helping manufacturers and their channel partners sell more products, reduce costs and increase efficiency through accurate catalogs, efficient production processes and new technology.

The new MOOG catalog’s ACES and PIES xml files achieved the highest score in the medium-sized catalog category based on eight criteria within each of three application-count brackets. High-quality, timely product content plays a vital role in helping aftermarket channel partners identify and sell the correct parts for each vehicle and repair occasion. Motorparts’ content team has received multiple ACPN Content Excellence awards over the past several years.
